Kingdom of Saints SOUPer Bowl of Caring Service Project

Sundays, Jan. 5 – Feb. 2
Before and after each worship service
Middle and High School youth join us as we participate in a service project for the SOUPer Bowl of Caring with donated items going in support of Lowcountry Food Bank, East Cooper Community Outreach, Wando’s Feeding the 1000s and our new Blessing Box sponsored by Girl Scout Troop 609. On these Sunday mornings our youth will hold SOUP pots before and after both services welcoming any financial contributions. Empty paper bags will be available at the Service Focus table to pick up and fill with needed non-perishable items. The youth will take a photo with the donations after the Youth Sunday worship on January 26th.

Join the SONlight Team

SONlight is a wonderful opportunity to mentor and share community. Teachers share a lesson with the children age 3k-5th grade on Sunday mornings during the 11:00 service sermon time. Children participate in activity sheets, crafts and service projects in the SONlight classroom, then return to their families for the Sharing of the Peace. Volunteers receive instruction prior to worship on what that day’s activity will be and all materials are provided. No experience is necessary – just an interest, enthusiasm and willingness to interact with the children. Sign-up sheets are available at the Narthex counter, so you can sign up for Sunday (s) that are convenient for you. Adults as well as middle and high school youth are welcome.
