“Christmas at Sea” Project

Join Us in Supporting the Seafarer’s Ministry

The Charleston Port & Seafarer’s Society (CPSS), has been a non-profit world outreach in Charleston since the 1830’s.  The Seafarer’s Ministry serves the needs of those men and women who make their livelihood in the port or at sea. Each year over 65,000 seafarers arrive on hundreds of vessels to the Charleston Port. Many are away from home and family for up to a year at a time. The need for ministry to these brothers and sisters is tremendous, especially this year when the mariners are not allowed to leave the ships while in the port. The Seafarers’ “Christmas at Sea” projects provides gift boxes with toiletries and small treats for lonely and isolated mariners at Christmas. Our goal is to fill 50 of these boxes during the month of October. Special gift boxes and list of suggested items will be available at Sunday drive-in worship or by calling All Saints member Brian Young (843-532-3837.  For more information on the Seafarer’s Society, visit www.charlestonseafarers.org.
