This weekly, evening arts workshop will include bells, drama, singing and visual arts rotations within age groupings. Middle and high school youth are encouraged to volunteer to help with the rotations. Meanwhile, Pastor Ginger will offer an adult Bible Study while the children rehearse. Children and adults will come together at 6:20 pm for prayers of gratitude around the Table in the Sanctuary before dismissal. We plan to share the highlights on Dec 17thduring the 11 am worship Prelude and Opening Hymn and on Christmas Eve during the 4 pm worship service. Although encouraged, children do not have to be present at the services in order to be a part of this performing arts opportunity. See more details • • •	16 Neighbors Together Neighbors Together December 16, 2023 10:00 am - 1:30 pm As we feel the chill in the weather, we are reminded that it is that time of year again- time to start thinking about holiday volunteering again with Neighbors Together! This year Neighbors Together is organizing one day with three separate shifts to give back: Saturday, December 16th from 9-11, 10-1:30 and 1-4:30. We have reserved 10 spots in the 10-1:30 shift for our All Saints group. We will need volunteers to help participants choose family board games, select their groceries, find a coat, as well as assist with serving the warm meal and [ass out stockings to all of the children. Volunteers working the same shift may choose to carpool to Neighbor's Together (2105 Cosgrove Ave., North Charleston, SC 29405) that day. For those interested in volunteering individually for other serving roles on Saturday, we will update the church website with that link once it becomes available later this month. During the holidays, we put a lot of pressure on ourselves to be merry and bright. We often think there is no room for sadness or hurt or grief--even if that is what we are really feeling. This Longest Night service will be a sacred space where we can mourn the losses and griefs of the year, pray and lament, let the tears flow for the places in our lives and in our world that are hurting, and hope that God will set things right.
