In 1st John, we read that “the message that you have heard from the beginning is that we should love one another.” In February, we will hear about how we at All Saints will be invited to participate in the “Love One Another” campaign for Lutheran Services Carolinas. LSC has gained the approval of the SC Synod Council to conduct a capital campaign in congregations this year. LSC kicked off its $1.2 million Love One Another campaign at the 2018 Synod Assembly. Our 2018 All Saints Congregational Council approved our participation in this campaign, and during the month of February, you will hear Temple Talks introducing each aspect of the campaign and how you can help. We have set a three-year goal of $15,000 for our congregation and have already raised over $2,800 towards that goal through the All Saints Golf Outing last Fall.
The campaign will concentrate on raising funds to support these primary service areas:
- Guiding Young People Transitioning out of Foster Care
- Welcoming the Stranger through Refugee Services in the Lowcountry and Midlands
- Encouraging Individuals with Intellectual and/or Developmental Disabilities
- Supporting Underserved Veterans with Families
We invite you to take a few minutes and watch LSC’s Love One Another campaign video.
