SOUPer Bowl of Caring Service Project at the Lowcountry Food Bank

March 2

Middle & High School youth will have the opportunity to participate in a service project together at the Lowcountry Food Bank (2864 Azalea Drive, NCHS) as part of continuing their SOUPer Bowl of Caring outreach. The youth will learn about how the Lowcountry Food Bank serves more than 200,000 who experience food insecurity every year through their relationships with over 230 partner agencies in the 10 coastal counties of SC. The LFB provides fresh fruits and vegetables, shelf-stable food, equipment, nutrition materials and food safety training. The youth volunteers will help sort & stage a variety of fresh, canned & boxed nonperishables for further distribution to community agencies & individuals. Youth may earn community service hours for their time.
