Kingdom of Saints SOUPer Bowl of Caring Service Project

Sundays, Jan. 5 – Feb. 2
Before and after each worship service Middle and High School youth join us as we participate in a service project for the SOUPer Bowl of Caring with donated items going in support of Lowcountry Food Bank, East Cooper Community Outreach, Wando’s Feeding the 1000s and our new Blessing Box sponsored by Girl Scout Troop 609. On these Sunday mornings our youth will hold SOUP pots before and after both services welcoming any financial contributions.  Empty paper bags will be available at the Service Focus table to pick up and fill with needed non-perishable items.

Wonderfully Made

Feb. 2, 5-6th grader Parents-only, 2-5 pm

Mar.1, 8, 15, Joint classes, 9:45-10:45 am

Our 5th and 6th graders and their parents will participate in lessons geared to give them experiences and information they need to build a solid foundation around faith and sexuality. The parent session is designed to provide support and guidance to parents when they feel less than fully prepared to talk about growing bodies in a life-giving and supportive way. The parent and child sessions give experiences to start conversations around bodies and sexuality as well as a way to practice using affirmative language with their children. Children learn and experience that as children of God we are born into the world Wonderfully Made and beloved by God.
