Holy Communion to be offered during October 25 Worship

Our worship services continue to include the celebration of Holy Communion monthly, in the safe manner that our drive-in worship logistics allow. Members of our Altar Guild prepare the elements, carefully placing the bread into individually sealed ziploc bags, and the wine into small cups with lids. Please pick up the Communion elements as you drive into the worship area this Sunday, October 25. It’s also Reformation Sunday, so wear your red!

See more details Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper March 4, 2025 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm 2107 N Hwy 17, Mt Pleasant, SC 29466, USA March 4th 5:00 – 7:00 pm Our congregation will be celebrating Shrove Tuesday with kid-friendly crafts, face painting, games and our “All Saints Go Marching parade.” Plus, of course, there will be lots of pancakes and other yummy foods to go along with them. The children will have a special message with the pastor and an activity that will come together for Easter. It will be a fun evening of intergenerational fellowship together! Mardi gras purple, green and gold festive attire is encouraged. As we prepare for Lent, we will end the evening with burning the branches from last year’s Palm Sunday. These ashes will be used on Ash Wednesday, the next day. Free will offering donations will go to support the Carolina Children’s Charity that helps to provide so many of the assistive/therapeutic services hundreds of Lowcountry children so desperately need. Our own Sandy Reafler's granddaughter, who has multiple medical and developmental needs, has received numerous critical services and support from their resources over the years. This weekly, evening arts workshop will include bells/chimes, singing and visual arts rotations within age groupings. Middle and high school youth are encouraged to volunteer to help with the rotations. Meanwhile, Pastor Ginger will offer an adult Bible Study while the children rehearse. Children and adults will come together at 6:25 pm for prayers of gratitude around the Table in the Sanctuary before dismissal. We plan to share the highlights during the 11 am worship on Palm Sunday morning. Although encouraged, children do not have to be present at this worship services in order to be a part of this performing arts opportunity. Our middle school affirmation class students are already scheduled for Faith alive that weekend, so we would plan a similar retreat for our high school affirmation students on the same schedule. Both groups of students would work on an affirmation-themed lesson in their respective groups, throughout the day on Saturday, March 15, with camp-based activities interspersed. Harvests from the garden provide fresh produce to East Cooper Community Outreach (ECCO) Food Pantry throughout the year. On March 13 we will have a special workday in the garden - volunteers are welcome. We will clean out the 6raised garden beds. The winter crops will be removed along with the top 4" of soil to make ready for the Spring growing season. Please bring a shovel and a wheelbarrow(if you have one to share). The last session on April 17th will conclude prior to the Maundy Thursday worship at 7 pm where the children will be invited to participate in their first communion.
